Which foreign currencies are available?
At Index Exchange, you find most currencies of the world including US Dollar, Great Britain Pound, Euro, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Thai Baht, Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, Swiss Franc and more based on your preorder.
You can keep track of daily exchange rates on our website. Please note that while buying or selling foreign exchange, prevailing rates on the day of your transaction shall apply. You can also check with our chatbot or customer care for the necessary assistance.
You can send money to all major countries across the globe, unless prohibited for any reason by the UAE Government or applicable laws. You can find a list of the available countries while adding the Beneficiary on the Send Money page. The receiving options (e.g. bank deposit or cash pickup) may vary depending on the country you are sending the money to.
Depending on the company you are sending money to, the service you are using etc, we may charge a small transaction fee. Below is a list of some of our service charges:
Registering online with Index exchange is simple and quick:
  • Register online
  • Visit the nearest Index Exchange branch with your Emirates ID & Passport copies
  • Complete the KYC details and make the first transaction at the branch
  • Use this transaction code when you log in for your next FREE transaction
  • Add your bank/beneficiary details & you are all set to easily transfer money online
Customer Number is a unique number assigned to you that identifies your account. It is displayed when you log in on the Index Exchange website. Here is how you can get your Customer number:
  • New customers – The Customer Number will be given to you when you visit the branch after registering online for the first time to complete your KYC
  • Existing customers – It will be displayed on your online account under profiles.
We work hard to ensure your transactions are safe and transparent. Which is why we need to know and verify who you are. This is also in accordance with the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering laws. All you need to do is:
  • New Customers: Register online and visit the nearest Index Exchange branch with your Emirates ID & Passport copies. Complete the KYC details and make the first transaction at the branch
  • Existing Customers: You may from time to time get a message to update your KYC. This might happen if your emirates ID or passport in our system shows expired. Just visit the nearest Index Exchange branch with your Emirates ID & Passport copies and complete the KYC details
